Bicycle Course of the City of Viana do Castelo

Localization: Viana do Castelo – starts at the Atlantic front of the city and heads towards the historic centre. It goes through the entire maritime stretch until it ends at the source of the urban park, passing through the nautical equipment nucleus there. Approximately at the midpoint of the riverside front, an arm crosses the historic centre towards Santa Luzia mountain, at the foot of which a funicular connects with the top. There you can enjoy the scenery over the entire city, the north coast and the final section of the Lima river

Localization: Ponte da Barca e Ponte de Lima – follows parallel to the Lima river and connects Ponte da Barca to Ponte de Lima. It has as points of interest the vineyards, the region`s fields of cultivation, the fishing of the river Lima, the mills and some picnic parks. It is intended for the pedestrians and cyclists use

Ermelo Ecological Trail

Distance: 5,22 km

Difficulty: easy

Localization: Arcos de Valdevez – cycle route, starting next to the Ermelo church and finishing after the Vilarinho do Souto Leisure Area, in Negreirô. The main section, near the foothills of the Mezio mountain, runs northwest through several brooks and streams with rapids that feed the Touvedo lagoon

Localization: Ponte de Lima – connects the village and the Silvareira stream in Fontão. It starts at the right bank, next to the roman-gothic bridge, passes trough the facilities of the Nautical Club and the International Festival of Gardens, continues until Bertiandos, wherw the manor house of the 15th century, an ex-libris of the region edified heritage and finishes in the Silvareira brook

 

 

 

Orange Ecological Trail

Distance: 5,04 km

Difficulty: easy

Localization: Ponte de Lima - this section connects the village and the pier of Garrida, in Refóios do Lima. It starts at the right bank, next to the roman-gothic bridge, and follws the bridge that crosses the Labruja river, where a glimpse of fauna and flora of the Lima river can be seen, with a diversity that extendes throughout the whole its extension

 

 

Valleys Ecological Trail

Distance: 13,5 km

Difficulty: easy

Localization: Viana do Castelo e Ponte de Limaconnects the Leisure Area of Deão, in Viana do Castelo, to the village of Ponte de Lima. It follows the left margin of the river Lima and its wide valley, with its extensive pastures and riverside forests where the wide panoramas intercalate with small corners

Vez Ecological Trail

Characteristics: landscape, cultural, historical

Distance: 32,7 km

Difficulty: easy

Localization: Arcos de Valdevez – connects the towns of Jolda S. Paio to Sistelo and can be made in three stages: Jolda S. Paio / Arcos de Valdevez (12,6km / 2h30m), Arcos de Valdevez / Vilela (9.8Km / 1h50m) and Vilela / Sistelo (10.3Km / 2h00m). It has as points of interest some monuments, such as the Giela Manor House, the Vilela bridge or the Castelo de Sistelo Manor house; as well as eight leisure river areas, the mouth of the river Vez and the river Cabreiro, Valeta fluvial beach and the Sistelo terraces
