Santoinho

Considered one of Viana do Castelo’s main tourist attractions, the Quinta do Santoinho has added up 45 years of life and millions of visitors. Open from May to November, it offers the most genuine Minho festival animation: folklore, “gigantones” and “cabeçudos”, popular marches and music, always accompanied by regional cuisine. In addition to the tourism aspect, the Santoinho Foundation also aims to preserve the vast estate gathered by António Cunha and the dissemination of Minho’s traditions and culture, through the Museum of Transport and Museum of Costume and Traditions.
